My intent here was to produce a video with the best possible production values. I had a friend who had a high-quality camera, and his stuff always looked great. He was willing to be Director of Photography for me and see what we could come up with. I also wanted to take advantage of the place where I was house-sitting. I had that same gig every year in the dead of winter, so I was very familiar with it.

I did what I always did. I pulled together whoever was available and willing to appear, came up with a general concept, and wrote the dialog pretty much on the spot as we shot.

I was not entirely unhappy with the finished product. It has its moments. But the pace dragged in places, there were some audio issues here and there, and I didn't think the production values wound up being all that great. I wondered if the Micky Mouse editing software I used compromised the image quality that the high-end camera captured. But it is what it is. This wasn't a film festival candidate. It was just an experiment and good practice producing work.
